Mr. Briley” Sam” Belk, Jr. 94 of Charlotte, NC passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at his residence. Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Greater Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church 727 W. Trade St. Charlotte, NC 28202. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and the Service will follow at 12:00 PM. Military Rites will follow the Service. Interment will be in the York Memorial Park 5150 S. Tryon St. Charlotte, NC 28217 Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Briley Belk Jr. (Sam) a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 24th, 2023. Born May 31, 1929, in Mineral Springs, NC, Briley was the son of the late Briley Belk, Sr. and Viola Robinson Belk. Briley was raised in Monroe, NC ,graduated from Western Union High School and served
honorably in the US Armed Forces  (Army Master Sergeant ) Briley was predeceased by his parents Briley Belk, Sr. and Viola Robinson Belk, his wife Gracie Lee Wynn Belk, brothers Craven and James Belk, sister Modean Belton (James), daughter, Cynthia and two sons Willie and Briley Belk.
