Miss. Brandi Michelle Belton, 35, of Charlotte, NC. passed away Thursday,April 25,2019 at her residence. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 4,2019 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church 7237 Tuckaseegee Rd. Charlotte, NC 28214. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will be in Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens 11200 Beatties Ford Rd. Huntersville, NC 28075.

Hi, my name is Brandi. My cousin Kecia called me Bran Flake.
My full name was Brandi Michelle Belton. I was Born on September 5, 1983.I was born on Labor Day of all days to Hoppie I. Belton and the late James V. Tate.

I attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church as a young child, serving on the children’s choir, children usher, cheering for the church basketball team and the Girls Scout troop 503. I took ballet for 10 years and sung with the Charlotte Childrens Choir.
I am a 2001 West Charlotte Senior High School graduate (Go Lion), where I sung on the school choir, lady Lionette and first chair clarinet player. I went on to graduate from North Carolina A & T State
University (Aggie Pride), where I majored in Animal Science. I went to work for the National Institute of Health in Bethesda Md., where I worked in the Animal Behavior Department. My kidneys failed during this time causing me to return home. I was a recipient of double transplant kidney and pancreases. I was a self-taught graphic designer where I designed and made shirts, glasses, kiln fired glasses etc. I started two business Strawberry Sapphire and Sapphire Blaq.

I am survived by my mother, Hoppie Belton and my beautiful son Jaiden D. Belton-Allen, Four aunts Eliza Williams (Olander), Shirley Belton, Mallissa Belton and Agnes Belton. Two sisters Tshneka T. Tate and Jchaz V. Tate, two nephews and a host of friends and relatives.

To greet me at Heaven’s gate is Jesus, my dad James Tate, grandma’s Julia Belton and Beulah Tate Johnson and grandfather Willie Belton. Uncles Willie Belton, James Barr, and Thomas Hearn. Cousins Warren Belton and James Barr II. I leave behind my Facebook friends and special friends the Goodman Family, Tracee Gales and Altonia Moore
