Barbara Moore, born July 7, 1965, in Charlotte, NC to Wade Brown and the late Delores Massey, passed away in her home on March 27, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.
Barbara, also known as “Bob” grew up in Charlotte, NC and was the oldest of three girls. She attended and graduated Olympic High School where she met her now husband, James Moore. They then had two children, Dontavius and Brittany. After graduating high school, Barbara then went right into the work force working for Parkview Restaurant for 10+ years, meeting and feeding now friends and family. After leaving Parkview, she then started a career in security moving quickly into a management role, enjoying some of her favorite things to do like being bossy and having things done her way. Barbara was well known for her cooking, and her love for the Carolina Panthers. During football season, you were guaranteed to find her and sometimes even hear her from outside coaching and cheering the Panthers from her spot in the living room! She enjoyed family and enjoyed her children dearly, whether it was tough love that Dontavius (Jr.) needed so often, or the soft and gentle love for Shaterrian (Shenell) or all of the above and more sometimes for Brittany who thought that she was the mom and favorite. She also loved traveling and trips to the casino.
Barbara was proceeded in death by her mother Delores Massey, and sister Carolyn Dawkins. She leaves memories to be cherished by her husband, James Moore, son Dontavius Moore, daughter Brittany Moore, sister but more like a daughter Shaterrian Roundtree, special grandson(s) LeeKari Lockhart and Anthony Adams along with a host of sister and brother in-laws, nieces/nephews, cousins, family and friends.
