For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

In Loving Memory Of
Baby Aminata Valerie-Rose Nelson
August 8th 2020 – November 5th 2020
Aminata Valerie-Rose Nelson, daughter of Paul and Kimberly Nelson, passed away peacefully in her parents’ arms and into the arms of Jesus on November 5th 2020. Although short lived, her purpose is known to those connected spirturally near and far.
Aminata impacted and inspired the incredible healthcare professionals at Levine Children’s Hospital who cared for her daily. This sweet angel was a happy, calm, strong, bold and beautiful spirit who lives on in our hearts today and forevermore. She fought a good fight of faith with her parents Paul and Kimberly Nelson while in the NICU.
Aminata Valerie-Rose Nelson was conceived in Freetown, Sierra Leone and born in Charlotte, NC on August 8th 2020 at 4:10am. Amimata’s inspired name was given during the time her parents were in Sierra Leone. Her parents had the opportunity to visit Save The Young Girls Orphanage in Waterloo, Sierra Leone where two girls there were also named Aminata. Her name means Faithful, Truthful and Trustworthy. Through Aminata’s name was a commitment to honor her purpose for God’s glory to serve communities no matter what life had to offer. On November 5th around 1:30 pm, Aminata was anointed with oil, prayed over, baptized and offered back up to God not knowing later that evening would be her final moments here on earth.
Aminata passed away peacefully in her parents arms assuring our faith, peace and strength together will remain forever present. God is in control. We cherish and share our memories with her.
The Nelson/Edmonds family sends our sincere gratitude to a slew of relatives, friends and community. We thank you for being on this journey with us. Also, we appreciate your prayers, condolences, support and well wishes.
