I wanted to let Alphonzo's family know how grateful I am to have known him. What a gracious, gentle man he was. As a life-long member of Covenant Pres. Church, not only did I know Al, but also his father Dan. I have such fond memories of both of them. Al helped with our wedding arrangements and we always looked forward to his cheery greeting each Sunday morning! We treasure our memories.

Al served many years as Sexton for Covenant Presbyterian Church, succeeding his father. He was always exemplary in his duties - always in his white jacket and black pants, always very professional. He knew everything that went on in the church but never gossiped. He was always a gentleman. I was an organ student and was often at the church practicing, and it was always a pleasure to associate with him.
