Rosemary Nixon Royster was born on April 8th, 1954 in Wilmington, North Carolina, to the late Thomas Nixon, Sr. (Cheryl) and Mary Hall Blake (the late James H. Blake). Rosemary died at home on September 29, 2015.   Rosemary was passionate about the gospel and being a faithful to servant to God.  After moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, Rosemary became an active member of Northeast Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Rosemary was an avid reader and developed quite a book collection.  Each year, Rosemary made it a goal to read the entire Bible, cover to cover.  For many years she accomplished her goal.  Rosemary enjoyed participating in a women’s reading group at Northeast Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  She loved her family and friends and religiously prayed for them all.  For many years, until unable, Rosemary served as a pianist for the Nursing Home Ministry.  Rosemary was her own children’s first Sabbath School teacher, and later called her grandchildren each night to go over the Sabbath School lesson.

Rosemary Royster leaves to cherish her memory the following:  her husband, Edmond Royster, Jr.; three daughters, Adrienne Roey (Willie), Eden Royster, and Rosetta Royster; her mother, Mary H. Blake; her step-mother, Cheryl Nixon; three brothers, Thomas Nixon, Jr., Bernard Nixon, Carl Blake (Nicole); three sisters, Alice Blake, Michelle Blake, and Christie Nixon; five grandchildren, Laura Roey, Sarah Boodie, Joshua Boodie, Blake Turner, and Hannah Turner; three nieces, Victoria McKenzie, Aniece McKenize, and Chloe Blake; and a host of family and friends.
